Confined Spaces is a contemporary art project in the old gaol and police station in Campbeltown, Argyll, which began in August 2016.
From August 17-21, 2016, 11 artists took over the prison cells, holding a pop-up exhibition of cell-sized installations that was free for the public to visit. To see the artists who took part, click here.
The Victorian building was built in 1847, and served as a gaol and the town’s police station until 2009. It had not been opened up to the public since.
